Help us bless a widow on Valentine's Day!

Fill A Seat … Fill A Heart

Take a moment and think about the joy you feel when gathered for a special holiday and all the seats are filled by your treasured loved ones. Now imagine one or more of those seats empty and try as you might there is no way to fill them with the ones you love.

This is how a widow feels every day. Special holidays only make it worse. Not only do widows lose their spouse, but they also lose 75% of their support base and that includes family and friends.

Valentine’s Day is especially hard for widows. Although we can’t fill a seat with her departed loved one or family and friends that have abandoned her, we can fill it with another widow who understands her journey. Filling a seat provides emotional support and a sense of community. A Balcony Women community for widow’s is a thread used to bring people together to advocate and support each other. Widows need other widows.

No widow should feel alone on Valentine’s Day. James 1:27 tells us that religion God our Father finds pure and faultless is to take care of His widows in need.

Balcony Women is hosting 550 widows at our annual Widow’s Valentine’s Dinner. Your donation of $25.00 provides a nice dinner, thoughtful gift and uplifting entertainment. We invite you to visit the Widow Event tab on our website to view photos of past widow dinners and see the difference you will be making in a widow’s life.

This Valentine’s Day help us bring joy to 550 widows in our community. Join us as we show them they are NOT alone. Please consider helping Balcony Women Fill A Seat and Fill A Heart.

The Bible has a lot to say about the care of His widows. It directly references widows about eighty times in scripture. Since God honors widows and treats them with compassion, believers should do the same: “Learn to do right; seek justice. Defend the oppressed. Take up the cause of the fatherless; plead the case of the widow” Isaiah 1:17. God keeps a watchful eye on His widows and as imitators of God, we are called to do the same.
